Where to live in Chicago area

Published

My fiance and I will be moving to Chicago around the end of July. His job will be in Bensenville. I'm looking into applying at Rush University for an RN job. We will be completly new to the area and are unsure where to look for an apartment. I was hoping someone could offer advice on which area to look for living that is safe and will be an easier commute. I have also looked at the other hospitals in the area and have no applied for anything yet because its still a few months away.

Any other advice on moving to the area is also greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance :)

Do you plan to drive to Rush? Or take the L?

if you lived in Oak Park, Forest Park, River Forest, Berwyn it's an easy commute via expressway or taking the Blue Line straight to Rush. And those spots are about 30 minutes to Bensenville.

I would definitely look around Bensenville to live. There are some good areas around there. It would be a little far for you if you do work at Rush but the suburbs are the best places to live. Good luck!

I was thinking of driving. But if the L was easy id try it out!
