Do you have a job lined up in Washington? If so I would have your results sent there that way you won't need to pay again for endorsement.

If I can jump in here.... What if you are not sure what state? I am applying in two different states.
well if i were you, personally, go with the one that you can find more new grad positions.
i got my PA license last august, and have sent over 350 apps out, with only 4 interviews.
still have not been picked. - my resume/cover letter have been reviewed and HR has given me feedback saying they're are "impeccable" so i know its not that.
i have since gotten my licence by endorsement for the state of FL and NC, and with my tax return will try a few more - just to broaden my chances.
its sad - but im literally going to move into an apartment anywhere i can be hired in the united states, if i can get a job.
we shall see.
so yeah - which you find has more openings / better chances.
but the north/northeast is hopeless so don't start there!

If are 100% sure that you will be moving to and working in Washington after graduation, take the NCLEX there. If there is any doubt in your mind, take the test where you live now. You can always get it via endorsement in other states.
By the way if you are speaking of the state of Washington, it took me about 6 weeks to get my license there via endorsement.

You can take the NCLEX at any registered/certified testing center. The state you are seeking licensing is the most important. You want your license in the state you're going to work in.
That being said, I say take the NCLEX in Savannah, GA.
It's just an amazing place.
The testing center there can license you in any state in the union.
Might as well take a vacation @ the same time.

I graduated from school in NJ. A friend of mine who graduated with me was moving out of state shortly after she would be taking her boards. She applied to take them in NJ but also have them count for the state she was moving to. It was a little more expensive but when she passed she was already licensed in both states and didn't have to go through the paperwork to transfer her license and also didn't have to wait the extra couple months to take her boards in a different state.

You can take the NCLEX anywhere, you just have to register/get licensed with your specific state licensing office. I'd use it for an excuse to travel to Alaska, but then again, that might not be possible.
