I have recieved my review of transcripts/degree template from EC and am looking for any help with plotting a roadmap for my courses. I do need all 31 General Ed Credits and of course my nursing component. I am scheduled to take the English exam through Uexcel (recommended by EC) and the Analysis and Interpretation of Literature clep all in the next two weeks. This is as far as I have gotten. Those of you who have started EC from scratch, what exams and in what order did you take? Does the order matter with the Gen Ed courses? Any help would be appreciated:o

Hi Mrstookielpn, I took all my general ed courses before enrolling with EC. I started with Life Span Developmental Psych, then 2 other Pysch courses, and Micro, A&P, etc. If you have any questions the advisors thru admissions are extremely helpful. And after you enroll in EC you will be assigned a counselor. There are alot of people on here that are more than willing to help with info also. Hope that helps. Good Luck to you!!

The order you take courses or exams does not matter. I took all my general ed courses before enrolling.

Thanks ladies for your responses. I just signed up to take my information Literacy and am continuing to study for English as well as A&I of Lit.

@pfeef21, I think that is all depended on who the advisor is as I have called a few times and ended up MORE confused than i began :uhoh3::uhoh3:

a lot of us did the info to lit @ pennforest much cheaper and i heard can be done in one day... I would finish all my gen. ed classes and you can take transitions and health safety before enrolling... good luck

I transferred in prior English, Gen Psychology, Biology, Sociology & Math. I took Nursing Concepts 1 and LifeSpan Development exams and Information Literacy prior to enrolling, enrolled, then alternated between Nursing and General Ed exams(completed A & P, NC 3, Microbiology, NC 4, Ethics, NC 5, Foundations of Professional Practice & NC 6)...then I stalled, allowed my enrollment to lapse and did nothing towards the degree for over two years:crying2:...when I reenrolled, the program had added requirements and increased in cost...I completed Chronicity & Reproductive Health exams earlier this year, now preparing for FCCAs & CPNE...almost there & looking forward to finishing...whatever order you choose to test in, keep going & DON'T STOP...pace yourself...register for your next exam each time you take/pass one, set a test date soon after registration and prepare for it as you would a scheduled exam in a traditional course...apply for FCCAs & CPNE as soon as you are eligible...and so on...Much success to you:)

Very good advice, that is EXACTLY what I plan to do!

I recommend getting A&I Lit and Sociology CLEP out of the way, both are very easy. I did not study for A&I Lit and for Sociology I used the REA CLEP prep and instacert.com and passed after studying for a few days.

Use Penn Foster for Info Lit. Alot cheaper and you can do it in a day! It's an easy A.

Also, just from experience, don't leave A&P and Micro until last. Wish I had knocked these out first. They are very complicated exams and studying for these and the CPNE at the same time was not the best choice on my part.

Good luck!! :-)

Thanks beachnurse. I am scheduled A&I for the 18th of June and Sociology right after. As for A&P, I am considering doing straighterline or looking for an online course at a cc. I think I may need to be guided as far as completing A&P and Micro are concerned.
