HI,
I'm new to this site, and i wanted to find a good school to recieve my RN. I graduated from high school in 2007 and I have two semesters of college under my belt at YSU. I here, that there are 19 month programs to recieve an RN licences. I live around the Youngstown area and I really dont want to travel too far away from home. Any suggestions???
Thanks,
Sue

There is programs for those that want to get their BSN in less than 2 years, but you have to already have your Bachelor's degree. The only accelerated programs that I know of are at Mt. Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus and Wright State University-BEACON program in Dayton. Although, nurses are in need, there are waiting lists at most of the schools in the Dayton area, but I am not sure what it is in Youngstown. Good Luck with finding a school!

isn't nursing an option at YSU? have you looked into continuing there? that may be the easiest thing, so you wouldn't have to transfer all the credits you have already earned. i think they offer a bachelors degree, so you would have to begin the nursing track. i am not sure if they have pre-nursing or a wait list, but i'd say that is the first thing to look into, since that is the school you are already at.
