Where do I go for a review of a potential employer?

Hi all!

I just passed the NCLEX!

Now I am having to make some difficult decisions as to where I will work.

I am looking at a Psychiatric Hospital near where I live in Sykesville MD, but I can't seem to find any objective information as to the quality of patient care and quality of the treatment of nurses.

Any suggestions where I could go on line or otherwise?

Not sure if there is a website or some place to go per se but you could go shadow, observe and ask some of the nurses that work there what they think of their work enviornment, management...etc...

I am not sure of where an honest assessment would be found on the web. But, as mentioned previously, see if you know anyone working there and ask them. Watch the characters of the nurses you speak to, because at times, those that are really complaining may actually be the ones to bring about their own demise due to difficult personalities. Unfortunately, most of the time, it is by trial and error regarding finding a good fit regarding employment.
