Where do I apply for a Public Health certificate?

Hi, I live in california, and my public health teacher highly recommended that we get our public health certificate, even if we dont decide to go into public health nursing, it is a good idea.

How do I apply and where for the public health certificate?

Is this free? a nurse that talked to me said it's free for a student who is still in school, but i went to the california board of nursing website, and there is a 75$ fee. I dont know why that nurse said its free, i just need clarification.

Upon passing the RN Board Exam, you can apply for A PHN certificate for a $75, then renewal is free afterwards. It is best to do it immeditely after passing so that you won't have to resubmit other supporting documents. Best of luck.
