Some of my friends told me that they can buy scrubs at work from a vending machine? Does anyone on this forum have that option and what are the machines like? This sounds like a great option for a hospital who is cash strapped like most of ours are. I was curious about price, sizing, payment method etc. - thanks , jon

I wonder if that vending machine your friend was talking about is more of an exchange system. Our hospital has two of those, one in surgery dressing room and one in OBs dressing room. You place your dirty scrubs in a bin with a closing/locking door and hit the size and then in another door out pops a new clean pair.
Laundry then goes to the bin every few days to gather the dirtys and re-stock.
It is very nice unless you forget to bring your dirty ones in the morning, then your out of luck, so you must do the exchange before you leave at night.
I have knowns nurses who have had to resort putting their sweats and t-shirts in the dirty bin and then have to deal with laundry services to get their clothes back!!!
