When to start applying for jobs

I will be graduating with my FNP in December 2014. I want to try to take my boards in January/February 2015. Is it too early to start looking and applying for NP jobs? When is the ideal time to start the search?

Thank you for any help!

Start now. Ideally you want to start six months ahead of your expects graduation. Never too early.

Some will entertain you, some will not if you haven't graduated and don't have certification yet. If you want to work in a particular place other than your clinical site, you may want to do a rotation or some hours in that place.

Thanks y'all. So far, none of my clinical sites have had any openings, but I'm still giving my resume to them just in case. . .

I graduated dec of 2013 and started looking/applying for jobs around sept/oct. Now is a great time.
