Do u ppl want Jamaica to work for u

To be honest, the nursing market in the United States is very saturated. There are so many American nurses looking for work in their very own country, that there really isn't a need for employers to import nurses from foreign countries. They used to do that in the past, but they don't need to anymore. So don't expect employers to reach out to Jamaica and recruit you.

If you want to work in the US, you need to apply to one of the state Boards of Nursing (pick the state you want to live and work in) and apply for licensure. They'll either accept the education you had in Jamaica, or make you take the NCLEX test.

After you are granted a license, then you can apply for jobs here. Though to be honest, if possible, I would not quit your current job until you have accepted a formal job offer in writing from an employer. Once you have signed the paperwork, then you can give notice at your current job.

Also, do not expect for any company for pay for you to relocate. Unless you are a truly outstanding nurse that has something unique the employer is looking for, employers aren't going to pay for an overseas nurse to get licensed and immigrate here, not when they can pick from a whole bunch of domestic nurses who are ready and willing to start working yesterday, without the hassle of dealing with immigration, visas and the like.

I'm sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear.

Best of luck.
