Hey guys. I am starting an accelerated Nursing program in January. My fiance and I are planning on getting married when I am finished but I dont know how I am supposed to do that. I dont mean im scared of getting married, I mean i dont know about how im supposed to prepare for it since I will be so occupied with school. Have any of you been in this situation? How long after Nursing School did you get married? My parents are really supportive. They are paying for it and for our house when we get married. I dont think money will be an issue, its just a matter of getting it done. Plus Im probably going to have to get married before I can go apply for a job because I dont think they would hire a nurse who will already be asking for a vacation because she is getting married. Please give me some advice. Thank you :)

since you sound like you have such a great realtionship with you parents, why not let you mom take charge of the wedding plans? Just tell her what ypu want and let her handle the vendors. You guys can have weekly breakfast meetings and she can keep you up to date. Or you can hire a wedding planner. That is what all the busy brides do these days. You still get everything you want, but you don't have to spend all that time on the phone. And wedding planner have such great connections, they may be able to get things you cannot. It makes for a much less stressful wedding.
I would not worry so much about a new job and vacation. I'm sure you will be able to find a window of time.
Thank you so much. I never thought of doing that. I do want to be a part of the weding planning, so im going to have to be there when we taste the cake and food.....the good part hahaha.

First off, Congrats!!!
Sounds like you have a great support with your wedding. I got married before I started the nursing program, but I was doing my prereq's and got married in the middle of micro. we were also in the process of buying our first house, and I was working upwards of 50 + hours a week. It is doable. You have from now until January to start checking into places. There is sooooooo much stuff out there now online and everywhere else. I ended up planning everything within about 3 months, and didnt have a whole lot of support.
Get a gool planner book, or make a binder for everything. But a couple of bridal mags, and just rip out pages of ideas you like. start a tentative guest list now. start thinking about it now. go to a bridal show or two. It sounds like you have some ideas already. start making your lists now. Stay organized. I am sure it will turn out beautifully. Dont get stressed about it!!
