Hi, everyone:
I'm taking A&P I next semester. The school is using Marieb's textbook. I shopped the book in advance and got a good price.
I plan to take Microbiology the spring semester. I wonder what is the popular Microbiology textbook such as Marieb's for A&P? So I can shop earlier and might get a good price, and might be able to read it when I have free time.
Thanks

I have seen sevaral people with the Totora book, but your school might be privy to marieb. Maybe you could ask around to see what your school uses.

Yeah..a lot of my nsg buddies use the old edition and they were ok too. However at our school the proff follows the book du jour and all the diagrams and interactive stuff online that he wants us to study all the way down to page numbers is pulled directly from that specific book making it absolutley necessary you buy it. Sounds to me like a scam but oh well.
Good luck. I wish I knew what the most popular Pharmacology text book was. Do you know? :)

We use Tortora, 8th edition.
However, you never know what your school will use, and that may be what is tested on.
My instructor would say if there were any differences in the material she was teaching from the 8th edition compared to older versions.
Unlike the human body, Microbiology can change so much.

My professor wrote his own ( supplement-like..not a book) and its all available via his website + we can purchase it. Yes, no book...no book at all.

Sorry I don't know about Pharmacology text book. I only took Chemisty, and CLEPed Sociology, and will CLEP Psychology, Human Growth and Development in the rest of the Summer. That's so far I've got on the pre-requisite.
