School nurses day is the 12? right?
I'm not a school nurse-sometimes I think I want to be(I work in radiology)
But my school nurse. I mean my dd's school nurse is leaving us very very soon. I will miss her. she's been my fav.
Since my dd has type 1-we really get to know our nurses.
But I'd like to know what your fav presents are.
I'm thinking some flowers/gift card somewhere
thanks guys

Just someone remembering the day is great for me! Honestly, it usually coincides with teacher's appreciation week, and in 3 years I have never had any mention of it other than on this board and amongst the other school nurses!
I think a card, especially handmade by the kiddos and/or with a heartfelt written thanks from the parents would be awesome. It would definitely be kept forever, as opposed to flowers which although beautiful are short-lived. Maybe if you feel like doing more than just a card, a small potted plant for the office?
Thank you for appreciating your school nurse, I know you will make her day!

i got a really cute crystal heart key chain from hallmark store that you could put little charms in and she put nurse's charms--that was probably my favorite sentimental gift--i also call my self a "soap snob" so I just loooove to get antibacterial soaps from bath and body for my office--lotions and pens are nice as well but really and truly as stated above anything that says thank you is sooo apreciated--we don't hear it near enough!! i have saved all my cards given to me--i had a parent of a type 1 diabetic write some really nice things to me!!

it's not really about "things" but i always love it when a parent, teacher or administrator comes to me and thanks me for a job well done. that's what i truly appreciate the most !
