Whats the different in PA an NP?

I was planning to go attend LIU for the BSN program next Semester. However I just decided to look at the Qualification for PA. To my surprise I meet the qualification. The only problem is I wanted to be a NP and a PA encourage me to be a NP. She works at Sloan Kettering an was over a entire dept for bones. It look very impressive, but she said NP can do more. Also If I went for PA, is there a transitional program for NP?

Thanks for the info, I was just looking at those posting when you send me that message. However do you know any PA to NP transitional. I can go right into the PA clinical for the next two years instead of getting a BSN. After reading those posting you sent, my goal will become a NP.
