I have been a staff RN my whole career, but will soon be graduating from Duke with MSN in Nursing and Healthcare Leadership. My plans are changing and I'm not sure that I want to be a nurse manager on a unit. What else can you do with this degree? I have heard that some people use it for projects, like magnet recruitment, etc. I am just trying to see what other options are out there with this degree. I don't even know where to look outside of management. Do most people work in a hospital?

It sounds like it's designed for a position of management? You can still become a manager, just do it in another area if you don't want it to be on a unit. Case management sounds like another option.
