What a way to ring in the new year (part deux; 4 years later)

Published

Actually, I have 2 major announcements.

First, I found out a couple weeks ago that the mental health APN program is FINALLY returning to UTHSC-H. I have been fighting for its return for the past year while completing my RN-BSN program and at long last my career path is back on track. It's a long story, but when I learned of the programs suspension back in 2006, I went through the 5 stages of grief over the next year+. I'm giddy about its return.

There hasn't been an "official" announcement yet, but it is expected to start this upcoming fall (2008) semester. So if you have any desire to start a psych. APN program, the official announcement should be out hopefully within a month, and applications for the MSN program are due in April, I believe. I urge everyone to apply. Good luck.

For my other announcement, I just found out that my wife is pregnant (like unofficially at 0600 CST this am; 1000 am more officially this am). I believe it'll be my first child (as far as I know). I'm skurrrrd. And it's gonna be so cool that I'll be in this program and helping raise a newborn...weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Honesly, I'm not so giddy about this...I feel it's a dream and am definitely happy, but there are soooooo many emotions going on right now.

and did I mention I saved a bundle on car insurance through Geico?

I believe it'll be my first child (as far as I know).

Congrats on finding your long lost daughter, Leslie!!:balloons: She is a handful but on the whole pretty nice. ;)

Also, congratulations about the program and about becoming a daddy (again). ;);)

Congratulations :balloons: on both counts!

Thank you all for the well wishes as well as the handy tips on removing gum from stuff. Sadly, I'm certain it'll come in handy; ah the wonders of parenthood.
