Just curious here but what do you do in your free time and on days off ? In general how much free time do you actually get?
In mine I work 2 prn jobs to make up for pay I lose when I take vacation time but I like going to the beach or a lake or riding through the mountains. I also play with my toddler or just catch up on tv shows or clean house .
How do you keep from bringing work home with you ?

I work the night shift, 5 days a week. I only get my two days off together every 2 weeks. When i have just one day off, I sleep it away because I worked the night before. When i have 2 days off I go shopping with my daughter and grandson. Maybe take in a movie. Sometimes I just enjoy doing nothing at all.

I'm in school still, but between that and raising two kids as a single mom, I have a busy schedule. But once a week, I go ballroom dancing in town, and during "down time" with the kids, I practice my (newly purchased) ukulele and we sing songs while I try (in vain?) to learn to strum while simultaneously changing chords. And in winter, I knit.
Wow, does all that sound hokey, or what?

I work 3 12's night shift. I like to spend time with friends and family. It depends how I sched my nights. I go out to eat on certain nights. I cook on certain nights. I have certain days I do laundry and clean throughout the rest of the house. I enjoy watching tv. Spending time with my boyfriend. The most important me time hair cut, pedicure/eyebrows, and shopping. I want to be real lazy I just lye around the house and do nothing. I dont really have to cook, clean, or do for nobody but myself. I can make that choice when to do whatever. I love life.

Watch x-files, plan my wedding, spend time with my dog/fiancee. I self schedule and I like to get 5 days off in a row. I just bought an old N64 that's been pretty entertaining.

I work 4 days a week in LTC/Rehab, every Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun. In the summer, Mon I sleep most of the day, wake to go pick wild berries in the back yard, cook supper, more sleep. Tues are spent on yard work in the morning (it's too hot later in the day) and house work in the afternoon. Wen are my free day, I can go play golf, or sit around like a slug. Thurs are quick yard work, house work, play on the computer, watch TV, then a nap before work. Falls all free time spent canning veggies & fruit from the garden I worked on all summer. Winters are better, no yard work, more time to spend cooking/baking (which I love), crocheting, catching up on reading, putting together my recipies for my next cookbook. Spring, getting the gardens ready for summer. WOW, my relaxing hobbies are all work!!! I gotta rethink that whole time off thing!
Congratz on your up-coming marrage!:balloons::yelclap::w00t:

I don't think about work at all (not nursing at least)..I tend to work on my business in the mornings then play with my toddler at the beach in afternoons..

I go to the movies ( love watching movies), GYM, Shopping for clothes( my favorite thing to do and I never get tired of it). I play tennis with my husband and friends.I also spend lots of time watching world cup soccer ( love it). I enjoy swimming, so when I have free time I go to the beach. I wish I had enough time and extra money to travel around the world, but that is on my list and I can't wait to travel worldwide.

"spend time with my dog/fiancee"
Was I the only one that took this in a silly way?
