To be successful in Nursing I believe one should have an open mind-willingness to always learn; flexibility-be able to adapt to multiple tasks and changes; passion; compassion; humility; teamplayer; respect.

no life outside of work, no family to ever consider
no transportation or home maintenance needs
no school needs, no vacation or holiday off requests
never get sick or be too tired to do a double and work your day off, too
never question or criticize your boss or Administration
no feelings that anyone can hurt
strong muscles, including feet, back, bladder
ability to juggle 12 things at once
camel-like ability regarding food and water storage ability
intelligence
communication skills/interpersonal skills
etc.

Be yourself, be kind, nonjudgmental, honest, teamplayer and do not let yourself be abused, by always being the one to work extra hours, coming in on your day off, you need to make time for yourself. It is o.k. to say no when you already give 110 % of yourself.
