Hey, me too. I am foreign trained and I keep applying to get a job as a nurses aide and keep getting turned down. Really depressing. I dont have any GA certifications except BLS and I really want to work in a hospital.

Good luck with your study. Try to get work as a CNA.

I'd do the same thing, I'd work as a CNA for now to get some experience while looking for a job that will hire me.

Definitely, the best work for GN who didn't pass NCLEX is CNA or as an ER Technician. It's fun working in the ER. :)
being a caregiver and a med aide doesnt need any experience or certification..and we have an edge over other applicants simply because we are graduate nurses...

how far is your nclex date? if it's coming soon, i would suggest focusing on your review for now and make sure to pass the exam so you can help your mom even better with an rn title. but if you must apply for a job, try pct (patient care technician) in a hospital. i am not sure if the hospital will view you as an asset because you are a graduate nurse. they know you will leave as soon as you pass the nclex. hey maybe they will offer you an rn position afterwards. who knows, just be honest and see what happens.
good luck!
How to become ER technician and how to apply?
