I just hired on with a home health agency and want to know what everyone recommends to carry in their car. The agency provides our thermometer, pulse ox, and BP cuff as well as the "car stock". Is there anything that you never leave home without?

The only supplies I needed of my own were my stethoscope, a pen, and a penlight. My company provided the bag, the trunk box, the draw kit, and the teaching materials.

Thanks, were there any non work related things you kept with you?

Stock of any needed blank forms, you run out of them at the most inopportune times. As for non work related things, spare uniform, including shoes, just in case; OTC med supply, like tums for upset tummy, tylenol, or immodium. I keep a pair of sunglasses in the car because my regular ones always seem to leave the purse and hide. And of course, a food/drink supply, can't forget that.
