What to Do While Waiting for Decisions?

Hi all,

I am brand new here so please point me in the right direction if this has already been brought up. I applied for several direct entry MSN programs on the regular decision timeline and, like many of you, I'm waiting anxiously (til March or so) to find out if I've gotten int. I'm sure all of you would agree that this feels much more stressful and overwhelming than say, waiting to hear back about a job interview because we've already spent so much, time, energy and resources towards this process and taking the necessary steps to make our dreams come true.

Anyway, I just wanted to ask... while you are waiting to find out, what have you been doing to keep yourselves busy and your minds off of it? And what are you going to do if you ultimately do not get in? Are you continuing to work in the same place or applying somewhere else to improve your portfolio? Applying to LPN/ADN/BSN programs as a backup? Considering volunteering/Peace Corps/etc.? Just wondering if anyone else is as anxious about this as I am.
