What does a day in the NICU look like?

I'm just curious what a typical day in the NICU unit looks like. Thanks so much in advance for your responses!

I'm still a student but I love the NICU especially high acuity NICU. I am in nursing school because my dream is to be a NICU RN. Of course thats just my passion, many of my fellow students don't like the way NICUs look, smell, etc. The biggest thing that got me was not the way it looked but the way NICUs sound. I think I heard monitors beeping "in stereo" for a week. Pathetic part thing was the morning after my first real NICU experience & not just a tour was that when my alarm clock went off I thought it was a monitor and woke up looking to see which baby was alarming. Now that is goofy.
