What is the cheapest and fastest way to do a RN to MSN program?

Published

hi I have my Associates RN degree, I want to get my Masters in nursing. What is a good fast and cheap online program where I can get my RN to MSN degree? I have been browsing the internet and whenever I contact a school they have so many hidden costs and it comes out to this enormous amount. Thank you .

What do you want a MSN in?

I'm open.. But more towards education.

The fastest way is to quit your job and go to school full time, but it is expensive to do it that way.

The cheapest way is to go very part time, getting financial assistance from your employer.

When you look for both cheap and fast ... they usually don't mix ... unless you go to a diploma mill where you do very little work and "buy" a degree. The downside with that approach is that it is unlikely that your degree will be well-respected.

Decide on your priorities ... quality education? cheap? fast? You are unlikely to get all three in the same place. Some compromise will probably be necessary.

Let me humbly suggest that cheap and fast are probably not great metrics to chose a program alone. Knowing what you want it for is much more important. Otherwise you'll likely end up with something disappointing, even if it was cheap and fast.

I think WGU can be inexpensive and fast if you invest all your time into completing their program. I don't know if they have RN-MSN programs though, you may need your BSN.
