What caught your attention in the world today?

I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news.  I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

According to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.

Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.

The arrested the guy the next day.

What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

And yet you and the other poster ignore the topic of the republican with the fake resume because Biden has been lying for decades which in turn brings up Trump and all his lies....and we even brought up Clinton into the mix.

Again, so much deflection I can't keep up.  What were we talking about again?

ANah, not overlooking anything.   Just pointing out, again, the hypocrisy of some posters here.  I've never cast character judgments on anyone based on who they vote for, as TMB often does.

I think this is okay.  Every statement doesn't have to be backed up.  We've lost something lately in our inability to talk about our thoughts and feelings about a topic.  We've lost something when when we discuss a topic only to have it deflected to something else with the idea that the person is a hypocrite for even bringing the topic up.

We shouldn't be talking about MaybeeRN's feelings or beliefs... we should talk about a current event or issue.  She could bring something to the threads beyond just her feelings and beliefs.

So what? You called liberals libtards but you are concerned about making character judgments...

What kind of people vote for someone that is known to have lied about a variety of things in their personal and professional lives? What sort of people make excuses for lying? What kind of people say they will vote for someone who is spreading lies about our elections after trying to use a violent mob to retain lost power?

Am I supposed to talk flatteringly about the judgement of people who would elevate Donald Trump or who thought that Herschel Walker was a good candidate for the senate?

Nope... you are willing to overlook obvious corruption in yet another republican to find some perceived fault in my posts or some unnamed liberal politician who might be just as bad as Santos or Trump.

Why?  Any discussion you participate in seems like you want to be based on your feelings and beliefs.

No.  Just pointing out that you libs are the biggest hypocrites in the world.  nothing more than that.  I do believe I named the politicians and if you don't know the history of their well known corruption then you are either in denial or just ignorant of the world around you.  All of this corruption and lies on the part of the Democrats I named is well known.

Just so that I'm clear here, there is no need to question a politician's stated background, because Biden grossly exaggerated his academic achievements 44 years ago, Mrs. Clinton's achievements as a lawyer, senator and secretary of state were directly a result of her husband, and Mr. Clinton got caught having an affair.

I should think republicans would welcome scrutiny of their candidates so they don't get trapped supporting white supremacists, or antisemites or film flam men. I mean, if someone I was planning to vote for turned out to be a serial con man, I would like to know before I donated money or voted for them.

Nope, didn't call liberals libtards.  Here is what I said, about a subset of liberals.

"I've learned that many libtards aren't interested in my discussion.  Rather,  they'll lazyly attribute my views to being brainwashed by Fox News, or my "Dear Leader" Trump, or criticize my sources, insult my intellect, etc."

If you self-identify with that and choose to assign a negative connotation on it, that's on you.

The rest of your post is same ole nonsense that I've addressed before.

yep, the old "I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of some of the posters here".   and the other poster saying  "Just pointing out that you libs are the biggest hypocrites in the world." when the subject started out being about a republican.  Instead of staying on topic this is always how it goes.  I'm only pointing out this because this is happening now.  I know when someone brings up Biden the topic gets changed, mostly to Trump, as well.  I'm not saying it's one-sided.

I was talking about Santos lying on his resume and was met with "Did you vote for President? Did you vote for either the Republican or Democrat person on the ticket? If you did then having a dishonest candidate (surprise) doesn’t bother you. Start with something simple like Wikipedia and then move on to ..."

I have very tough skin but don't like not being able to say I dislike a politician's dishonesty because of another politicians dishonesty and I'm a hypocrite.

It's tiring.

Yep you used that term libtard and you know that it is derogatory but now you try to play dumb. No one here self identifies as a libtard. Hypocrisy seems to come easily for you.

LOL

Yes we know your feelings and beliefs but if you'd like us to consider that to be some sort of credible discussion you'd have to offer up evidence or facts... but you haven't. You mentioned a few names that were discussed in the past but nothing that compares to the dishonesty we are discussing now.  Share a link or two so we can talk about the article rather than talking about how wrong your thinking is about past individual incidents.

Your feelings are noted but they don't match reality.  Let's talk about the reporting that causes you to make such demonstrably wrong statements.
