I was just wondering what some of you carry your books in to class. Need some ideas on what I should get, I don't think a backpack would be good for my back.

a wheeled backpack. I personally got the High Sierra Powerglide it came with a 5 year warranty. I thought that was a good idea since I had read on a forum that some were ripping the bottoms of their bags with the weight of thier books.

I used a rolling backpack my 1st and part of my 2nd quarter. By my third quarter, I stopped bringing my books and just carried a folder with what I needed.
Of course if I was going to stay for study group, then I would bring my books in my rolling backpack.

I don't. My books stay at home were they belong! I have a backpack for my laptop, food, etc.

I don't bring all my books to school, just the ones I need for lecture and clinical. All that extra stuff stays at home, or in the car. I have a fossil messenger bag, which holds all my books, just fine.

Love me some Fossil!!!!!! :)
I just have a standard Dakine Backpack with reinforcement straps. Although I will see if an upgrade is needed after buying my books for fall. My school asks that we bring all books everyday...

I am getting a Zuca bag. I haven't received it yet, but it is ordered and I'm just waiting for my little present.

Has anyone de-spined their textbooks and three hole punched them so they could take whatever chapters they needed that day to school in a binder or w/ rings keeping the pages together, w/o lugging around such heavy texts? I am contemplating this but I wanted to hear from others how that worked for them.

I like to have my books because I do a lot of studying in the library at school, and at other places like starbucks right after school. I have a Jansport backpack that can carry a lot. I sometimes would leave some in the car and switch them out when needed. Lots of students use wheelie backpacks. This year I've bought mostly e-books so they are all on my IPad and I can just carry a small tote with it and a binder. None of my study guides came in electronic form so I'll keep them in the car in my old backpack incase I need them for studying.

When I was taking A&P 1 and 2 they de-spined the book, separated into the separate courses and put them into 3" notebooks. I liked it because I could then put the corresponding power points into that chapter area. The only con was that the pages ripped out easily and had to have the hole discs to reinforce the holes.

Just got my high sierra power glide yesterday- it's a large rolling backpack. LOVE IT. We'll see if I'm the only one with a rolling bag:p I don't really care if I am though. I want to be able to carry all my resources because I'll be staying around between classes (5 hours) and need to be able to study and also carry lunch and such. The only thing I don't really care for is that the part that covers the wheels doesn't actually cover them where you can't see them like some rolling packs I've seen. That's a minor detail though.

I posted this under tha pack mule heading too...
I have a copy paper box (the library), a ZUCA and a backpack. All books are kept in the library in my truck. If I need multiple books they'll travel in the ZUCA, if I need one or two they'll go by backpack. All end up in the library for storage and easy accessibility.
I am a bit of an over-thinker but it saves my back!
