What Can I Say?

So, we're having a dinner at work for any employee who's been there for more than 10 years. As the DNS, I have the largest number of attendees. I was told today that I have to come up with something to say about each one of them! Hmmm....that one has been here since I was 3 and takes 5 hours to do a one hour med pass....oh and that one....had oral sex with a resident but still has a job because of the union...I don't mind public speaking but this is too much. Can anyone help with something that sounds nice but isn't over the top?

I have the answers for you!!!

For the nurse that takes 5 hours to pass meds, say that "she/he takes extra time with each and every resident"...because it's true.

For the one that had oral sex with a patient, say, "she/he goes the extra mile to make sure our patients are happy and comfortable"...because she/he did.

I challenge you to stand at the podium and say it all with a sincere smile.

Ok .. don't know about your Union and the Collective Bargaining Agreement... but even in Massachusetts "oral sex with a resident" is professional misconduct. (Especially in the nursing profession) . What did the State Board have to say about this..'conduct?'

oral sex with a patient?? ewwwww...... and she or he still has their license? for cryin outloud... they shouldn't have their license... some people have no cuth...

No cuth?:specs: I'm not sure anyone ever reported it to anyone and perhaps it's nothing but an urban myth. Perhaps I'll record my speech and post it here so all y'all can laugh at me!

My Daddy always said if I had nothing nice to say, to keep my darn mouth shut. Sounds like good advice for this situation too.
