There's more than the anatomy book and the physio book, both published by Addison Wesley Longman?

I didn't use coloring books. What helped the most was note cards. It's mostly memorization, so however you can memorize the best is what is going to work best for you.

TBH, there is so much to know and learn in A&P I'd advise against coloring. It just seems like a waste of time to me (unless color coding has worked in the past for you). You'd be better off with flash cards that are premade at the book store.

Good luck.

I was one of the ones that HAD to have a coloring book for A&P. I heard everyone say they were a waste of time and didn't really help but I just had to get one and see for myself. Come to find out. They were all right. It really was a waste of time and didn't really help me much at all. I think I colored the anatomy of a cell and maybe one other picture and I haven't touched it since. Waste of $20 if you ask me. My homemade flashcards were my biggest assest.

If you are like me and you just HAVE to have one to see for yourself, you can go to any B&N or bookstore that carries them and look at them there. Since they are all different, it really depends on how you feel you would like to see (and color) the information.

I really liked the Anatomy coloring book. It helped me so much. It made remember where things were.

Anatomy & Physiology Coloring Book by Marieb. None better in my opinion. Unfortunately my school didn't let us use it for my BSN Anatomy. They required a way lamer coloring book. Good luck in A&P!!! :)

I got the one by Wynn Kapit. It helped when it came to identifying some of the structures in the lab portion of the class.

The anatomy is the easy part...just memorize it and be done with it so you can spend the bulk of your time learning the physiology.

What helped me for anatomy was a book that came wrapped with our text. It basically had photos of everything with the name next to it. I covered the names with little post-it note tabbies and numbered them. I made an "answer key" with the names next to the corresponding numbers, then went through the book over and over and wrote out all the names on a separate sheet of paper to test myself.

If you can get through bones and muscles, the rest of anatomy is pretty easy...have fun!
