Wharton County Junior College 2017/2018 ADN Hopefuls

Published

Hello!

I would like to start this thread for any applicants out there applying to WCJC for Fall 2017 or Spring 2018. I have applied for Spring at the Sugarland campus and can't wait to hear back already. I need something to pass the time until September so please feel free to share questions, comments, concerns, tips, etc.! Test scores, grades, and any comparative stats also welcome! :)

What are your stats? I was accepted into the fall 2017 program, Still waiting on a few letters from the BSN programs I applied to.

Stats:

Bachelors of Science in Health professions

overall GPA 3.75

Science GPA 3.55

Teas score 81

Hesi score 93

Hey there! Thanks for sharing. According to my degree evaluation I have a 3.54 pre-req GPA and I had a 90 overall on the TEAS. I have my AAS degree and graduated Cum Laude. My overall GPA including every class I took after highschool (and retook later when I grew up) haha is a 3.09. Not sure what they're looking at but that's where I stand. I got into the lone star college nursing program in 2010 but had to withdraw in the first semester due to external personal issues. Good luck to you this fall!

I'm thinking about applying.

I have applications in at UT, Alvin, COM and UTMB. I just want to start so badly. Was thinking about this school as another one of my backups. Just confusing,

Do they only look at the reading, math and science portion of the teas ?

I just got into the fall semester! I applied for the the spring but didn't get in, it's a lot more competitive at that campus. So I had them put me in the pool for the fall semester and got in!

Oh lawd. Now I'm nervous again! Do both Wharton and sugarland locations accept the same amount of students? I'm going to be sooo bummed if I have to apply for next fall and wait longer. I think that's all the sections on the TEAS that I remember.

I have a friend who graduated from Wharton and she had really good things to say about the program and instructors. She said she didn't get the best impression from Lonestar students during clinicals. I found that interesting. I really hope I get another chance.

Both campuses accept 30 with 10 alternates, and have close to 120 applicants per cycle. Your stats look good though!

Thank you! What made you guys choose nursing? What do you do now?

Good luck to you! I am applying , but I am nervous about the teas and my gpa, but I will give it a shot.

That's all you can do is give it a shot and hope for the best. Good luck to you too! Let us know how you did on the test!

Thanks, I will I am scheduled for the Aug 16th

I need help with the teas test!! Please any advice. I passed math with 87.5, but bombed science
