WGU vs Aspen BSN

Published

Trying to decide between these two programs. Does anyone have any recommendations? Eventually I want to get my MSN but I'm not sure if I want to go NP route or not, kind of undecided but want to keep options open. I'm in CA so I don't know if CSU and UC NP's accept WGU BSN's? what are the competency assessments like? Just curious if people have opinions on either program. Thanks!

Check out the WGU forum and you will find most of the answers you are looking for. For me, WGU all the way!

Both are CCNE accredited. WGU is also regionally accredited, but I've not found that to have additional value as of this time. Aspen is very structured with the ability to take breaks if needed. WGU is very unstructured (one can also take breaks). Check with your employer if there's a difference between the two and take it from there.
