I've recently been researching online RN-BSN & MSN programs and am interested in WGU and have been reading the multitude of posts regarding the program. The tuition rate, self-paced aspect, & the fact that it's online are most appealing to me. I have been a RN for almost two years and work on a very busy cardiac unit. My question is regarding the final Capstone project and if it's required to be presented or can a presentation video be submitted? I have seen many Capstone presentation videos for WGU on Youtube and didn't know if that was an option? If it needs to be presented what are the requirements: Do you present it at your place of employment for a unit meeting? Do you need a certain audience and proof of presentation? I just want to know what I will be getting myself into if I pursue the MSN route. The thought of doing this big presentation for managers/leadership of my hospital seems very intimidating!
Thanks in advance :)

I didn't do the MSN, but from what I remember it USED to be a presentation held only with a capstone mentor. I think it's changed now and not even sure it's still a video, but if so I am pretty positive you do it alone and/or with the mentor, not as a presentation at your workplace. My capstone for the MBA was a video recorded with a WGU video program and was me in a little window with a powerpoint running, essentially..

I just finished it. All you have to do is a power point and record yourself going through it and turn it in. Nobody else has to be there
