Hi Everyone!

I didn't see a thread started for this application cycle so I wanted to get one going. If there is one already started that I haven't seen feel free to redirect me. I applied for Western University's MSN-E program this fall for a start date of next fall. If anyone else is applying/has any news please share! Good luck to everyone!

Haron7171 - I agree the waiting game is the worst! LOL. OH and now I am wondering if I dreamt the whole recording thing since no one else can confirm it! :wacky:

For my writing sample I did two paragraphs, maybe 5 to 6 sentences each. I am sure it will not be the most impressive sample they have ever had, but I felt pretty good about it. The subject was something I have experience in, so it was pretty easy to write about. I got it all down on the computer and spent the last 5 or minutes fine tuning it.

So here is the funny thing about the waiting part....it feels like it will never come and then it passes quickly. The final interview session is supposed to be in a few days, then it could be any day! I remember hearing about interviews on another board (yes, I applied to another school or two...) that they were supposed to start in a couple weeks. Well it has been almost three and they just barely started to invite people to interview! I thought I would have gone crazy waiting, but every day is a new one with or without new information! I think the hardest part for me is when someone else hears something first. You see that post come up "got an interview" or "I GOT IN", but you have not heard anything....you know it is coming at some point, but now it is WHAT am I going to hear? Good news, bad news, wait list, etc. I start thinking about plan F - the "what if I do not get in anywhere" plan.

Thank goodness I have a band of impatient soon-to-be nursing students out there to keep me company!

Hey everyone! This is my first post here and I had my interview yesterday February 14th! I met so many nice people and the interview went well I think! Now its just the waiting game! I wish everyone the best of luck!!

I know exactly how you feel! When someone else hears something back before me and I'm just sitting here with the crickets =(

Like you I also applied to another 2 programs and I have already been accepted into one...which I'm happy about but the problem is that it begins THIS MAY. My worst fear and what is stressing me out is if I become waitlisted in this program and then I get accepted about 1 or 2 months already into the other program! Western is my first choice and I would have to decline since I would already be into the other one

Teena39, I interviewed yesterday also! I was really happy with how nice the staff treated us. It made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Anyway, still hoping we all get in!

Just got my acceptance letter this morning. I was invited to early acceptance day. Good luck to people still waiting to hear back.

Congrats thatsmile! Which early acceptance day did you attend? There was a larger one in January and then a smaller one in February. I am glad that they are letting folks know from those groups!

I was at the second acceptance day. I think theres still an interview today, but they've begun accepting people.

Pattern seems consistent from the first early acceptance day as well. They got their letters pretty quick too. I hope us interviewees do not have to late too long either...:)

The told us up to mid March, but from years past, it seems like 2 weeks is pretty standard. Glad you know where you stand! Are you planning on attending WU then?

I too received my acceptance letter this morning after attending the second preview day! I know the waiting game is no fun but hang in there everyone :)

I received my acceptance letter after attending the 2nd early acc opp day, as well. They told us we would hear back in 2 weeks, and sure enough, we did! The deposit for acceptance is due within 2 weeks of your receiving your letter. I received word through an e-mail attachment.
