Hello everyone,

I am applying to the pre licensure program at , I have everything done already, and I will have my interview with Joe the Prelicensure Team lead on Friday, I am very excited to start the program, but also very afraid and anxious, I really hope I can get in. My counselor said that the next cohort for the Los Angeles area starts in March 2012, so if everything goes well I wil be the happiest person alive if I get in and start in march. Is there anyone applying to this cohort? Does anyone know any other cohort starting earlier? if anyone has any tips for me, what should I do next, or if anyone that is already in the program has any tips, any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

What should I expect regarding the clinicals application, is the emotional intelligence test hard? What about the WGU's foundational nursing skills performance assessment?

I took them at 4 different schools and quadrupled on some :-)

first half of fall term: A&P I, took it alongside Chemistry and Lifespan (in addition to my current masters program) :-)

then second half of fall term took A&P II alongside Algebra, Microbiology, Intro Psych again in addition to my masters program that one is one class every 6 weeks

then just completed mini winter term: statistics, int. personal communication and pharmacology, made all As, except Lifespan and Chem made Bs in both, but still very happy,

wow.....thats a lot ...i couldn't even get in all those class if i tried at my local JC's .....did you the online or Local ?

I hate the wait as well, I even called my counselor twice today to see if she knew anything?. I am soooo nervous and afraid, I want to get in soooo bad that I am afraid!!! Well for those of you that can sit and relax Congratulations, and for all of us that still have to wait and ? for a good news, Good Luck ?!!!

Did you try emailing her? That is how I got ahold of my advisor. I literally called 10 times until I got through. It was a good thing I did cause for some odd reason they had my old number when they tried to reach me. Don't worry you will get in!

Thank you very much!!! Actually I was able to talk to her both times, and she told me that I have to wait a little bit more because she didn't know anything yet ?, so I will wait LOL!!!!

I know it IS a lot, but motivation is key :-) this is my second degree, student loans, masters program, the economy, do the math :-) what I did was I combined them at different colleges as they only allow you to take a certain number of credits per semester, so I had to find other colleges offering the subjects I needed and worked out the time to fit them in together and it worked, I'm actually on the vice president's honor roll list for one of the colleges I attended, 5 subjects, 3 sciences and 2 social sciences, all n the fall term (blowing my own horns, lol) :-) hey I worked hard, most of the classes were online which made it worse as we had written assignments, class discussions, quizzes, and exams back to back and timed, so it was no walk in the park at all I can tell you that, online classes are brutal, takes commitment

Probably nothing meaningful to add to this thread other than I hate waiting so just wanting other people to wait with me :) All my prereq transcripts are in! Last one was received yesterday! Now I just have to wait for the last 2 to be evaluated and see what happens next. I am so anxious to see if I am going to get in for the Feb class. I think I am going to go nuts this week (and probably next). I'm hoping to know by end of next week. That would be awesome.
