WGU Pre-licensing BSN for 2015

Nursing Students Western Governors

Hey everyone,

I am looking at possible attending WGUs Prelicensing.

I have been between 2 schools but it is looking more positive with than the other school. I have to retake my A&P 2 due to the Lack of quality instructors. The Professor we had was absolutely horrible and many of us in the class need to retake it due to low grades. I will have to wait til Spring and take it at a community college instead of where I took the last one. I am wondering how many other are planning to attend in 2015.

Other than that I will have all I need to Apply. I am emailing my enrollment counselor and find out the upcoming dates that are out so far in 2015.

I am gearing more towards WGU and having a group to work together and keep eachother motivated would be great. Let me know.

Thanks

Shonda

hello, i have question regarding , do u have link or info..regarding what pre classes you might have to take?

Hi ShondaJ,

I am currently enrolled in two straigterline courses for pre-licensing nursing program in CA. I am aiming for the July 2015 program start date.

Are you taking any courses through straigterline? If so, which courses?

Future#nurse,

Here is a link that explains the pre- reqs required to apply for the pre-licensing program.

I enrolled but cancelled because of scheduling with work and kids. I could not focus so I went to classroom setting to complete them.

If I attend I am going for the August 2015 date as my target.

If I attend I am going for the August 2015 date as my target.

This is my target start date also. We should motivate each other to ensure we are on track to apply for this start date.

Hi Shonda, I too live in Southern California and have attempted to take A&P through Straighterline. Like you mentioned, while taking some of their tests I was unable to find the answers in the textbook which became very frustrating. I already have A & P and Micro from a community college with a cumulative GPA of 2.7

Since 's BSN program is highly competitive, I was advised to retake A&P to bring up my Science GPA which would put me in a better position. I will attempt to retake A&P as I still have my Lab kit(un-opened). If you like, maybe we can collab and do our classes together.

Hi Bevann,

I am still trying to figure out if I want to go there again. I gave my kits to the school I did the sciences at so I would have to buy a new one. I was also thinking of attending a community college to get it out the way but I am weighing the option.

Hi my name is Shalonda I recently got my AA from Seminole State college in Florida. I work full time at a hospital in sanford and am looking into applying for the prelicensure program for August 2015. I have so many questions and worries about an online program. If anyone has ever completed or is in the process of completing please tell me how it is? Is it similar to going to an actual class and learning the information?

Hi Shalonda. Actually the thread you created has comments from current students. Check it out. I have heard nothing but good about WGU. They are one of my top options.
