Enrollment Counselor not responding

Nursing Students Western Governors

Has anyone had any issues with their enrollment counselor missing appointments? My enrollment counselor started out fantastic. After I sent in my transcripts and had them evaluated he has been gone. He said he would call me the Friday after they were evaluated, but I never received a call (a little over a month ago). Between this period and now I have set (2) appointments with my counselor and he has not called me for either of those calls. As of now I am missing a couple of pre-req courses and my GPA is a 3.8. I have no idea what to do at this point besides taking my pre-req and continuing on course. I really just want some of my quick answers, answered. That is all.

Should I call to schedule another appointment. This will be the third attempt to contact him.

After he missed the first appointment, I e-mailed - no response.

Try emailing them again...my counselor is in/out of the office alot...but I email her again if I don't hear from her after 3 days... I can understand your frustration with the lack of phone calls though...especially if you have a set appointment.

I would recommend emailing as well.

Thank you I will e-mail once again.

Thank You I will e-mail my counselor once again. I hope I am able to make another appointment and I will actually receive a call this time.

I would email and double check that he has your phone number in the system correctly, and if he misses another scheduled meeting definitely call the school and ask to speak with the enrollment counselor manager for nursing. Good luck!

Thank You. He has called me in the past. It is really strange. I am getting kind of worried about and their programs as well and I wonder if this is how the program will continue.

The growth is stretching ECs thin, and there are only a few well.versed in prelicensure. And to your original question, there really is nothing else to do except finish your prereqs. You cannot move forward until.then. you are welcome to.PM me for questions as well.

I can honestly say that the actions of EC do not reflect how the actual prelicensure program is ran. For the most part, my time with the program have been positive, in regards to faculty and staff, so hopefully that does not discourage you from applying and skipping out on a great program.

Thank you very much! I wrote out a few questions I will PM them to you if you do not mind.

Thank You

eta: sorry I cannot PM yet because I do not have enough posts.

I did look up other schools, but none beat in price/time. Most of the schools cost 50k in socal and that is for the accelerated BSN programs for those with a BA/BS already.

I am having issues catching my EC as well. She refuses (in a nice way) to respond to my questions via email and wants to schedule phone convos. When I give her my availability (I work nights and a lot of OT since I'll be going to school and want to bank some extra money) and she doesn't email me back for days - after all my available days to speak have passed! She just did it to me again. I asked her nicely to please answer my questions via email since her schedule is opposite to mine. We shall see what this next email says. It's very frustrating tho.
