I submitted my application and was wondering if anyone else is applying for the Sept 2017 start date in Houston?

I sure Will! You as well. I did good on math and reading the other 2 parts were the ones that brought down my score. Do you know when your advisor will tell you?

My advisor has been out of the office for about 2 weeks. I actually had to have another advisor submit my packet to the board. So I don't have any idea. He will be back tomorrow so maybe I'll try to reach him.. but he never actually answer the phone.

Anyway, it was the math section mostly that brought me down ( I got a 62%), I ran out of time. In reading I got a 87%, science 70% and English 83%.

That's awesome!! Hope to know soon.

You had good scores. I don't think they look at Math that much.

I tried to respond to your private message but I got an error message that I didn't have 15 messages to do private messages. Please email me at [email protected] so we can exchange contact information. I truly believe you will make this September cohort.

Here is some information I received in a email and the link is to the sample schedule for clinicals and labs.

"Prelicensure nursing students must complete a total of nine clinical rotations with each rotation having specific corresponding hours. Due to the scheduling process and availability of clinical sites and coaches, we are unable to schedule your clinical hours around your personal and work schedule. Therefore, it is extremely important that you plan ahead to ensure that you are available to attend clinicals at any time during the clinical intensive window."

Also from my understanding, we have to be available for 2 weeks every 3 months until the last semester where it is longer. We will not be doing clinicals all of that time but we have to complete so many hours in that allotted time. For instance the 1st clinical block is for 60 hours. How those 60 hours are split up will depend on the person's schedule we are paired with.

oh okay, wow. i hope this program is good, i want to start in houston but i want to know who is already in it to get some insight.

Congrats! I wished I knew you a few months ago! I have finished my pre reqs on May and was applying to other schools. Just found out about this school, u and I have same TEAS scores!! When will be the next cohort start?

For Houston it starts in December. Since the cohorts are small, They actually start a new cohort about every 3 months. There is also a Conroe area cohort starting October 1. They just opened it up. I actually decided to change to that one because the clinicals would be closer to where I live.

You should apply, the application process is straightforward but having your transcript evaluated take 1-2 weeks. If you have applied to other programs you probably already have letters of recommendation and a letter of intent. If not, you will need those too. Feel free to message me with questions. I don't have All the answers but I can point you in the right direction.

HEY! GOOD LUCK with ! maybe we can study sometime!!!
