Hi!
Can someone tell me if Westchester Medical gives a med test at the interview or is it part of orientation?
And if you are specializing, does the test focus on those meds or is it a general test?
Thank you!

Hey LNRN15,
I don't know the answer to your question. But I also applied to WMC and would like to know what position you applied for. Two weeks ago, I applied for a position titled "New Grads- Registered Nurses". My application status hasn't changed on the site. What has your experience been with WMC as far as applying?

Hey guys...I work at WMC, I was not hired as a new grad, but I will give you some advice. If you want a position there, you need to harass the nurse recruiter. They are awful at getting back to applicants. Their HR department is very unorganized. So...don't get discouraged--just keep calling and ask about the status of your application. I do not remember if I took a med test, but most hospitals do give one. They are never very difficult and usually involve basic drug calculations, antidotes such as Heparin=protamine sulfate, Morphine (opiates)=narcan, Benzodiazapines=flumazenil, coumadin=vitamin K) stuff like that. Good Luck!
Hi CCRNLola,
Thanks for the information. I called the Human Resources dept. to check on the status of my application. She asked if they called me for an interview. I said "No". Then she said "if they are interested they will call me." Soo...don't know what to say to move the conversation forward. Recently, I found a nurse recruiter via Linkedin and wrote her a message. Hopefully, she writes me back. So tough getting a job in NYC.
