I unfortunately left my stethoscope in my labor room when I took my patient to post partum. When I realized, the next day, it was no longer there and no one on our unit seems to have seen it..
Which stethoscope do you recommend for both mom and baby?

I always used a separate one for neo. I also have a cardiology III that has dual bells, but feel it is just "OK" on neo.

I've always used just a plain old Littmann Classic. Worked for me for 20 years. So sorry there's a thief on your unit, that SUCKS.

I have had 2 stethoscopes stolen! With my current one, I put a fall risk bracelet on it and wrote my name on it. It seems to help a bit. I am notorious for leaving my stethoscope lay around random places and now it seems to always find its way back to me instead of walking off. People have even returned it to my locker a few times when they found it and I wasn't working. Getting it engraved might help too.
The littman classic III is nice for both mom and baby since the smaller side can be used as a pediatric scope. My hospital has neonatal scopes in every labor room and in the nursery, so I usually end up using those, but the litman III works in a pinch too.
