I currently work every Fri and Sat. night. If I decide to travel are there assignments were I can have it in my contract that I will only do those two 12 hour nights? Do they pay extra for weekends?

It's not hard to get people to "let" you work every Friday and Saturday, but you will have to work one other shift too. If you work nights I highly recommend working 6 on and 8 off or 7 and 7 if possible. Let's you have a real daytime life and still have the benefits of working nights. Extra weekend shift differentials are a hospital by hospital decision. Be sure to get it in writing on any travel assignment.

Watch out though. I had always thought that, but now I'm at a hospital that pays their staff a high weekend differential so I can't work every weekend. I also don't get paid extra.
Where I work now has a weekend program that will pay you 8.00/hr more for commiting to every weekend. (I'm still only making 24.50/hr) I was just curious as to weather they had a Travel Baylor Program. :)
I've never heard of it. Because they pay for your housing, you are generally required to work at least 36 hours a week.
