I think I may have originally posted this question in the wrong forum. I'm new to posting to the forum, although I signed up a long time ago!
I've applied to several Accelerated BSN programs (nursing is not my first degree/career), but deferred admission for various reasons related to work and life. I think I've found a very good fit (for me) in the 2nd Degree BSN Program at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania and my application is pending for May 2011.
I'm interested in connecting with Waynesburg nursing students- whether in this specific program or another nursing program there- to see what you like about the University.
Thanks!!!

Hello, i was actually googling up waynesburg and saw your post and decided to join to help you out a bit. I am actually going to be a senior at waynesburg going for my BSN in the four year program. Id be happy to answer any questions you have.
Beginning in my junior year we conjoined with the 2nd degree students and then become a part of our classes. We spend a lot of time together. The 2nd degree path is very accelerated and runs through the summers also. You will spend your first summer doing fundementals and pharmacology etc... then in the fall you join with the new four year students in their junior year for medical-surgical, psych, phyical assessment, and med surg 2.
I was originally a freshman nursing student at duquesne and transfered to waynesburg in my sophmore year. The staff, my advisor, and the students are all very helpful. Hence the 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX for 2 years now.
The program is difficult, but hospitals love Waynesburg graduates. We are known for working hard and not slacking off. Overall its going to be a hard two years for you, but you will not regret it you will have an awesome education and great friends.

Just released: 100% pass rate on the NCLEX-RN exam for FOUR consecutive years now!
As a senior nursing major at Waynesburg University, I hope to uphold this great standard when I graduate and take my NCLEX-RN licensing examination in May 2012!
