Swedish Residency Jan 2014

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Hi,

I just applied for the Swedish Jan 2014 residency. Wondering if folks here also applied and whether you have heard back, or if you know the timeline for that.

I tried emailing the Swedish Residency email several times in the past few months to find out about the Meet/Greet but never heard back. Did anyone manage to attend? Or is this a secretive gathering for some selected few?

Please share your experiences and journeys!!

Unfortunately, there's no number to call to follow up. I've tried reaching HR before through the Swedish number, but I just keep getting redirected by the automated system. Sorry I am of no help :/ I think they kind of expect you to be available. Hope you get a call soon! What were you top choices if you don't mind me asking?

They had a date and time set for me. I didn't have any input. It may help if you mail a thank you forthe interview letter to hr ????

And I believe they told me during my phone interview that they would let me know either way.

Thanks for all your help! I'm planning to call the nurse recruiter and the secretary who organized the phone interview.

My top two choices were ICU and neuro critical care, but I also said I am open to whatever is available. I hope I hear back too!

How did your in person interview go? Which unit did you interview for? That is so exciting :D

Did you hear anything back jnkwan? Which unit are you interviewing for?

Curious if you heard back ??

and PalmRN,

I know your in-person interview is today, all the best! The most important part in an interview is to just be yourself! Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything back yet. I spoke with the nurse recruiter who interviewed me and she told me I would most likely hear back if I did get an

interview or not by the end of this week. So either way, I will be hearing back from them anytime soon. your prayers would be so helpful!

Specializes in CVICU, CRNA.

More reason to finish my darn bsn:

"This email is to let you know that we have elected to not move forward with your application at this time. Our program places a strong preference on BSN-prepared candidates and we invite you reapply once you have completed your degree."

What a bummer.

future_anesthetist: did you do a phone or in-person interview? don't give up! this doesn't determine your abilities to be a great nurse anyways. rooting for you!

Nope. No interview at all. I guess my ADN is worthless...not really but anymore it seems that way. I'm thankful to have a good job in a hospital right now. ICU will just have to wait.

Where are you working now? Yes, ICU or any jobs at a major hospital is very competitive.
