Anyone going to be in RN Residency in MultiCare this February? I just got an offer in Tacoma General Hospital. I'm excited and somewhat nervous. :nailbiting::cheeky:

Hi masonorrn!! Congrats! Which unit have you applied? I applied this morning! Hope to hear back from them soon! Good luck!

Hi TinSath! I applied for OR Residency. I applied December 1st and got a call on December 7th for an interview. Good Luck to you!

I applied for the OR/PACU and ED as well. It status says "considering" so we will see. Fingers crossed. I am hopeful :) Good luck to you too!

Hi masonorrn,

I am so grateful I had stumbled upon your post! After reading your thread, I applied for their RN Residency Program. Fingers crossed that I receive a call as quickly as you had. Would you mind going in detail about their interview process (behavioral based questions). I am so happy for you!

Hi NurseKat! Interview questions are pretty much basic like Tell me about yourself, How do you see yourself 5 years from now, how do you handle grumpy doctors/patients, what is the above and beyond thing that you did, and couple more questions that I forgot. You will be fine! Just be yourself, smile, be enthusiastic, sell yourself, and don't forget to ask questions! Good luck! :)

Masonorrn,

Thank you so much for giving me specific interview examples. I finally received an email stating that they sent my application to their hiring manager. Also, thank you for the advice! I'm always so nervous when it comes to interviews. I recently received an offer for the Swedish Residency, but would love to interview for the NICU residency for Multicare as well! I hope they contact me soon, I would love to be given a chance to interview for that specialty.

Hi NurseKat,

Congratulations on the offer! What unit did Swedish offer you?

Masonorrn,

Thank you so much, they had offered for me to join the Postpartum Unit. I am extremely excited!!!

Hey Masonorrn,

I had the opportunity to interview for the RN Residency at Tacoma General Hospital for the NICU yesterday. I feel that it went really well and they had asked for my references today. I was wondering if you could provide me details about employee parking, and anything else you know about the residency program.

Hi NurseKat,

Awesome! They are going to Hire you and I'm pretty positive about it! They will give you a pass for employee parking. My apologies, I don't know anything much about their residency program, as I have read in some post here in allnurses, For the first 2 weeks, it is much like a classroom type for all RN Resident. That's all I know and I guess I'll see you there somewhere. :)

Masonorrn,

Fingers crossed! Thank you so much for giving me information regarding the residency program. I will definitely look around allnurses to seek more information and I'll let you know if I find out more details. I am so excited and can't wait to start my transition from a new grad to a registered nurse. Hope to see you at orientation!!!
