Folks: Anyone interviewing for July 2012 Residency? My question is: how soon do we hear back if we got the position? I interviewed for another residency and received an offer today (day after I interviewed). They would like me to give them an answer on Monday the 21st, which is when I have my WHC interview. (I told the 1st hospital that I had another interview).
Follow-up question is: should I ask in the WHC interview when they will decide?
Nurses in the Feb 2012 residency, how soon til you received an offer?
Thanks in advance.

I was given an offer for the April residency in few days.
I would definitely ask how long you'd expect to hear back from them (But, they may give you a long time frame).

so how do you like it and what unit are you in?
So far, I like the unit. Of the 10 or so of us in a mini-group of new graduate med-surg nurses, all but one of us are pretty happy with it. We've only been on the unit for like 2 weeks.

It was the same day for a fellow nursing student at Gerogetown Hospital and 5 days (Thursday interview and Tuesday offer) at WHC. I am going for my interview at WHC Emergency Department program tomorrow!
Good luck. I cancelled my interview for this morning. I took the job closer to my house. The drive to WHC from where I live was way brutal. Good luck.
Good luck, KPassafa!
nurs_I_want_to_be, I work on a med-surg floor. So far I like it, but it is definitely a busy floor. Since I'm still early in my orientation, my head hasn't started exploding yet. But I haven't heard of any problems with unfriendly staff (which is important to me).
Starting in July 2012 at WHC - Emergency Department! Hope its the best choice!
Congrats, KPassafa!
