Hi everyone,

Please if anyone could reply back to these two quick questions (you know how priceless information can be when you're in the shoes of a new grad :rolleyes: ):

I would love (love love love) to be hired for the WHC July 2011 Residency orientation group....

1. When do you think they'll post this opportunity in the Career Search/Job Postings on their site? (From past posts I'm seeing 2 months in advance but I wanted to hear anything different)

2. Will the post be in the normal Nursing Job Search area? What will it say (just wondering if it'll look obvious or not)?

Sorry to sound hypertedious but I check frequently and haven't seen anything yet. I would hate to miss so I want to be as prepared as possible.

Use the word "residency" in your search. I can't remember when they put up the openings, but I think last July's might have been up as early as February, but last year, I think they did an April start, not a Feb one, like they did this year, so I would expect to see it any time now. If I remember correctly, they posted in late July/ early August for the October start last year.

Hi, I recently spoke to a nurse recruiter about the July program. She said the applications should be up on the website by early May. I look almost every other day, but she said May. She also said you can get started by asking for recommendations from your professors and clinical instructors. Also have your unofficial transcript ready in case you are selected for an interview.

Yep, I got it. But I can't reply PM's yet.

I didn't get then name of the recruiter i spoke with. I called the number back to see if i could get it in her voice mail, but it wasnt clear. I called back and somebody answered saying there are many nurse recruiters. That you should just make it a general nurse recruiter heading. She said it doesnt matter who it's addressed to. So I just put Dear Nurse Recruiter... Hope that helps. Good luck with everything. :) :nurse:

Thank you for the heads up BlessedNurs. If anyone hears back any information from the recruiters please post so we all can see how the process is going :rolleyes:

In the mean time, does anyone know about how many people they've interviewed/hired in the past February, October or July (if there was one) Residency programs?

Or what kind of GPA they're looking for?

Thanks so much I see where the postion is posted. I did not apply yet ( I got nervous). I am going to wait until after I pass NCLEX! I take it for the first time April 27. Are you guys going to wait until you sit for boards!?

Also does anyone know if they like BSNs over ADNs. I am a ADN.

Any helpful infomation would be greatly appreciated.

Also a lot/most of information that I heard about WHC Residency program I got from this site with a February 2011 search i hope that helps!

Also I could not find the posting on the WHC site but when I searched indeed.com it came right up. :confused:
