George Washington University Absn Fall 2016

U.S.A. Washington DC

Hello! I just received an acceptance for the Fall 2016 class. I am wondering if any former or current students had advice about the program--whether they think it is worth it? How they feel about it? And also if there are any people on here who have been accepted as well!

Thank you

Hi! I have applied for the Fall 2016 cohort at GWU as well but have not heard a decision yet. I received an email on December 4th that the preliminary review of my application is complete and it has been referred to the admissions committee for further review/decision. Since you have already been accepted, I was curious as to how long it took for you to receive a decision after getting the email that your application has been sent to the admissions committee? Thank you and congratulations :)

Hi! I hope you get in!!! I received an email on 11/13/2015 that it had been sent for review and then 12/01/2015 with the admissions decision! So, roughly two weeks!

Wow that is fast!!! I hope I receive a decision that quickly haha... Thank you so much I will keep you updated!

First Post here! Greetings Mondana and congrats, I too received my acceptance e-mail from GW. Are you interviewing for the W2 program? I'm looking into local housing. This is an exciting period for me. Are you waiting for other offers? PM me and we could exchange thoughts. GW looks like a great University! Good luck to all those who are waiting for a decision. Cheers

Congrats! Yes I am going to interview for W2 in February. I am waiting for others offers but this school is one of my top choices!! Have you found any places? I'm from california and I'm interested in finding a place.

I'm heading to DC next weekend so I'll give you the 411. I'm dreading the financial scope of living in DC but, I'm still very excited about the prospect of experiencing a new place to live. I'd prefer to live on campus but the few places I've seen available around MedStar are about $1000-1100 for a 1 bedroom modern apartment. Studios run around $900 but are slim findings. At this rate I'd love to have a room mate to share rent as long as my room mate is clean and is a fellow nursing student. So I think networking is going to help in that regard. I'm booking with air gorilla for flights, their rates are pretty competitive on air fair and hotels. I've received offers from 2 other schools this week, but I'm still putting my deposit down for GW. I'm still waiting to hear from a dozen other schools. This is a big commitment that will require prayer and weighing the long term financial cost. I'm glad to be in touch with another potential classmate, Salud!

Thank you i would appreciate any information!Have you found housing? I won't be actually looking until later on when I decide which school I will go to. I have to look at cost and cost of living as well.

Other than a general apartment/studio search I haven't looked into further housing. But as we both wait to make further commitments, the cost of housing may rise as fewer spots become available. I was reading in an apartments forum concerning the DC area and recently a woman who lives with her mom was so excited that she was able to find a 1 bed room apartment for $1100. The cost of earning a second bachelors is still having me scratch my head. I know what you mean when it comes to the grounded idea of choosing between which school is right for you, I'm in the same boat. I'm still very glad that GW is within arms reach, thats something we could be very proud of. Have you applied to any entry level masters programs? or other allied health professional programs? Salud.

I got accepted!!!!! Not sure whether I will be accepting it or not, how about you?

Your hard work has paid-off, one less stressor. Appreciate this opportunity like I have. Salud

Just received my acceptance today! I am also waiting to hear back from 10 other schools, but the deposit is due in early January. Anyone have any insight as to what they're doing yet about that?
