DC endorsement license from MD

On average how long is the endorsement process for DC? Is it easy to obtain a temporary license?

i originally applied to the Maryland BON for license but got offered a position in DC. I scheduled my NCLEX on Feb. 5 and I start Feb 26 which gives me exactly 3 weeks to get at least a temporary license so I can start working. Will that be enough time to obtain one?

Once you find out you pass the NCLEX, do you have to wait for your license to be up in the MBON AND on the nursys website where the DC BON confirm? Or can I just give all my endorsement paperwork once I can lookup my license online in the MBON?

sorry for all these questions. just trying to see if this is possible within a 3 week range. I'm really not trying to get my offer taken away from me because of a problem like this.

I know when it comes to getting an answer from the MD BON it has been hit and miss. Good luck

MBON posted my license the following day after taking the NCLEX. I went to the DC board of nursing and handed in my paperwork. They told me the process is 2-3 weeks

How long did it end up taking before dc gave you a license?

I'd like to know this as well. I did my endorsement app from MD as well on June, 28...and as of today, still nothing. theyre very slow it seems.

I work with a RN that just had to renew her DC licence......she stated they have been having huge computer issues.....she actually had to go in person to renew it.....

That's crazy! I submitted mine in June 29th and as of today they still had not put the application in their system yet. I called today and was told that they had a board meeting which would take all day so I assume no one was working on apps today. I went in person on Monday and the lady that processed the nursing license was out for the day so nothing was done that day as well as a holiday falling on a date since submission lol. So I guess that's at least 3 days behind. And I start my new job on Monday :(
