So I’ve wanted to be a nurse for over 6 years now. I’m in my firsts semester of nursing school and I’m taking A&P. I’m taking a total of 6 classes(med calculation, term, nursing 100, etc.) I have around 97% or high grade in all of them besides A&P. I study 2+ hours a day for that class. I’m just having a hard time with that class. I’m just wondering can you be a nurse even if A&P was difficult for you? I’m getting frustrated cause I want to be a nurse but I don’t know if is a sign that maybe I’m not ment to be a nurse…. Any advice?

A&P is a seriously tough course, you must study more, eat, sleep this topic. Some used to rewrite their notes, tape lectures,or use a study group.Keep your life simple and dedicated to getting through one of the most difficult of education.Find a tutor but don't bother with tutors from your school, test yourself, remember some things in nursing only have one answer I E. you only have one heart but learn that circulation.Good luck.

What helped me was recording the lectures and playing them back while I reviewed my notes.
I did ask my professors if it was OK to record.

I found a lot of Youtube videos very helpful. Crash Course is a good series with short recaps. Youtube helped me since I am more of a visual learner, and there is an endless supply of videos with different ways of teaching/ covering the topic. Kahn Academy on YT is another good one.
It also helped me to highlight key terms in my textbooks using specific colors. For example, orange was a body part, purple was a definition or key term, red was a side effect or disease process.
The other thing I would suggest is making concept maps/ idea maps. Here's a video on that:

Don´t worry! The human body is very complex so it does make sense that those courses will be difficult. Everyone finds it difficult so just hang on there, you will get done with it.

Keep at it. I got an A in both, it just takes dedication. There's lots of info on YT.
