Want to travel with a 2 year old and a good friend.

Hello I have 2 years med/ surg experience. I Want to travel first assignment I want to do here in Georgia to make money to apply for other licensure. I have some questions, how guaranteed is travel nursing. Is it doable with a child my friend is a online student and she agreed to take care of my daughter while I'm working if I pay her cell phone bill. That's only if I decide to do ou of state. Im afraid to take that leap to leave my steady job. I need advice please and what pay should I take

When I traveled with little kids (2 year old twins) I was with their dad, and that went smoothly. When we split I did one assignment with a nanny-type arrangement and it was really not good at all. A good friend might be a better arrangement, but I found it totally stressful and not good at all. I had a college student as a live in, and her unavailable times magically multiplied, her schedule needs changed, and suddenly free room and board was not enough. I thought we had nailed out a pretty solid understanding when we started, but it fell apart quickly. Sorry if that sounds discouraging, and it was just my own experience, but thought you might like to know. Especially if it helps you know what to avoid.

To avoid heartache, put it in writing, down to the times. Give yourself generous time to accommodate overtime delays at work. It will not break your friendship to do a contract, but it will surely wreck it if you don't have one. Good luck!
