I'm headstrong about starting my nursing career off in the ICU. I'm a level I nursing student now, so what advice can someone offer about how to start gearing myself toward my ICU goal? I have many goals for my career and most start in the ICU so I feel it will jump start my career in the right direction. Should I try to get a nurse tech job in an ICU or just devote my time to my studies?

definitely get an internship in the ICU for the summer if possible. this is the best way to get a job in an ICU when you graduate.
this topic of starting in the ICU has been discussed many times in this forum
here's a few to get you started and feel free to browse through the forum pages for so much more
