You only have the info literacy class left before the CPNE?
If that is the case, you should be able to.
If you still have to take the nursing concepts courses, there is no way, especially considering the wait to take the CPNE is 4-6 months.
what can one do to take the CPNE fast without having to wait that long?
....and pls why is it that one has to wait 4-6 months to take the CPNE

The issue with the CPNE is that there are lots of students applying to take it, but there are few testing sites, and for each test weekend they have to find several examiners to staff it.
One thing you can do to speed things up: request a cancellation date. You can indicate on your CPNE application that you'd like to take the place of a cancelling student, if such a slot opens up. It can, in some cases, get you a test date much sooner.

Destinee- So I presume what you mean is the only prereq you have is the Info Lit, but you still have the Nursing Concepts exams 1-7 (or at least some of them)? If this is correct, you could study and take the exams as quickly as you want. The prob you might have gettin-'er done in 6 months is the CPNE wait.
One cannot even apply for the CPNE until all the Nursing Exams are complete. I was finished a month ago and am still waiting for a date for the CPNE which may be another 5 months away! My first NC exam was in November so I did all the NC exams in 5 months. While I wait for the CPNE I will be completing my pre-requisite.
Keep in mind you can take NC 1 & 2 exams and pre-reqs prior to paying the fatty enrollment fee. This will extend your next due annual Student Service fee. That was my whole goal in cramming it into less than a year, but since I might not take the CPNE until October and my annual fee is due in November I might have to end up paying it while I wait for graduation processing which can be 6-8 weeks after the CPNE which is another $500 or so on top of the annual fee. Hurry up and WAIT.
Good luck and study hard.

i think if you're finished and just waiting for graduation processing, you can get out of that fee without much problem.
Exactly - just call, be nice, and explain that you are waiting on them and they can waive it.
Guys- Oh my goodness. I turned in to app for the CPNE a month ago completed the checklist of stuff I had to turn in. Absent from this checklist was CPR verification, so I did not include it in the packet. So, I get a letter this week form EC saying I cannot get a test date until I provide verification of CPR training (which as an active nurse is required and provided by my employer - so of course, I have it). I rounded up my CPR card and sent it in. Well, get a call just now saying this certification doesn't count because it is not AHA and is not labeled "professional" training. Dude, the medical director I work with (doctor) was in this class with me!!!!! So now I have to hurry up and find a "real" CPR class that EC will accept and they will not give me a test date until I do so. ERRRGH! Had the *($&^ CPR cert requirement been on the CPNE application checklist I would have discovered this info a month ago and been done with it. NOT COOL.
That's terrible that you're so close and having so many problems right here at the end. On my application packet (granted, this was 9-10 months ago) I think there was a big section which listed various sources of acceptable CPR certification.

I woul like to have an invite to NC 7
i got a cpne test date in less than 3 months by requesting a cancellation. so i'd say it's very possible to do that.
as far as finishing the entire program in 6 months, i don't think that's very realistic for most folks.
