Walla Walla Community College 2020

Hello everyone,

I decided to start a forum for the admission process at Walla Walla Community College for 2020 since I hadn't seen one yet.

I have all my prerequisites courses done, and I have my CNA, the extra humanities, and English 102 classes (if needed) for the tie breakers. Currently without the tie breakers, I am at a 33.9. I would be commuting from the Tri cities. I'm crossing my fingers I get in! :) Goodluck to you all!

Hi everyone, I am so excited for this application year. I will be traveling from Tricities as well. My scores is a 33.0 without tiebreakers.

I saw that but thought that was for the people who would be applying next year? Well the 3 extra points I mean. Wasn't there 42 points possible last year as well?

Hi all I'm applying to Walla Walla and CBC. My index score is 33.7. Hoping it's enough to get in this year. My score last year was 31.7 and I was pulled off the waitlist for Clarkston but did not have enough notice to go (they only gave me 2 weeks). I re-did a class and bumped my score up this year so I'm hoping its high enough to get in on the first round! Good luck all

I've been wondering if the Covid will cause any problems with the admission process next month. Has anyone heard anything?

I had a friend say she is no longer going to apply to the nursing program because of the virus. She said she doesnt have it in her to be a nurse if this happens again in the future. I've heard several people say this scares them off from being a nurse. Anyone else feeling like this? Just curious

They have a FAQ regarding Covid-19 on the nursing admission page. Looks like they aren’t worried about you doing your TEAS now as long as it’s done by September, assuming everything calms down by then. I work in healthcare already and it’s been insane lately but at the same time it’s nice to get insight on how bad it can get. Thankfully, I’m still wanting to be a nurse LOL.

I previously emailed with ------------------- the program specialist 2 weeks or so ago, because I mailed in my application and wanted to make sure they received it. I kind of asked about delays because of the COVID virus as well. She emailed me back that they processed my application YAY! and that they are still planning on mailing letter next month so no worries there. I am sorry your friend isn't applying. Being a nurse is HARD but don't get yourself down just remember why you want to do it in the first place. Someone has to be there for the ill and hurting and why not it be us?

I am also applying to Walla Walla with 39.4 points, but I am hoping to get into Shoreline, Peninsula, or Grays Harbor! When does Walla Walla send out letters? Also, what is the average point cutoff for this school? Are the tiebreakers only used when two people are at the cutoff? I haven't really looked at those yet.
