Hello fellow nurses,
I need your help. I am currently in enrolled in the University of Texas at Arlington's online BSN-MSN program. I am unexpectedly having to move to South Dakota, and unfortunately I will be unable to continue my education with UTA as they are not affiliated or licensed in SD. I have been looking into my options as far as transferring to another school (without losing all my credits) and so far, Walden seems to be my best bet. They state I can complete my coursework and clinical hours in South Dakota, will accept up to 5 transfer credits (I'm currently enrolled in class #5 with UTA), and do offer the specialty I wish to change to Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP, as I will be working in much smaller community than those I have worked in thus far (California, Austin, Houston etc.). However, I have been reading reviews and am terrified to continue to pursue Walden. I will be moving to the capitol of SD, and there will likely NOT be a lot of competition when it comes to NP jobs- in fact I know the VP of nursing in the only hospital in town and am not terribly worried about Walden's employment-related implications, but rather the quality of the education, resources offered by the school etc. I am hoping for either some reassurance or positive experiences, or other suggestions for schools that may meet my needs. I appreciate all of your help and insight.
Thank you!

Not many Walden students post here as the school is bashed constantly. If you are concerned about the reputation there are so many other programs out there.
